Announcement of 2005 Scholarships
The Kasper Foundation for Equine Art is pleased to offer the following
2005 Scholarships:
Two tuition-only scholarships to the equine sculpture workshop entitled “Seeing The Light” with artist Karen Kasper. The workshop will be held August 15-19, 2005, at the American Academy of Equine Art facility, Kentucky Horse Park, Lexington, Kentucky.
Full workshop tuition of $400 will be paid by the Foundation. All additional expenses, including transportation and hotel, will be the sole responsibility of the recipients.
Within one year, scholarship recipients agree to provide the Foundation with a photograph or transparency of a completed artwork that demonstrates their progress resulting from attendance at the workshop, along with an essay describing their experience. These images and the written report will become the property of the Foundation for the sole purpose of documenting the educational benefits of Foundation scholarships.
The scholarship selection process will consider the applicant's (1) serious intent in the field of equine art, (2) artistic talent, and (3) character. Scholarship applications from individuals of any nationality and residence, and of any age, sex, race, or creed will be equally eligible for consideration and selected based on criteria consistent with purpose and intent of the Foundation. Please note that minors must have the approval of a parent or guardian before applying for a scholarship. Applications must be received by submission deadline of May 15, 2005, and winners will be selected by June 1, 2005.
